Task Force Examines High School Experience
During the Dec. 7 meeting of the Embedded Credits and Academies Task Force, teachers shared key findings from their site visits to various high schools that are redefining what the student learning experience looks like in grades 9-12.

Lindbergh High School’s Hour of Student Choice: Power Lunch
At Lindbergh High School, more than 2,000 students fill the cafeterias, hallways, gym, and communal areas during the middle of each day. Power Lunch is very different from the typical school lunch period. It provides students an hour around 12 p.m. to eat, socialize, study, exercise, or meet with teachers.

Lindbergh, Crestwood Partner to Support Safe Walks to School
Lindbergh Schools and the City of Crestwood recently celebrated the completion of two new sidewalk projects that will create more walkable neighborhoods for the community and support safe student travel to and from school.

Lindbergh Board of Education Approves Clean Audit Report
The Lindbergh Schools Board of Education voted at the Nov. 16 regular meeting to approve the completed audit report with no issues or exceptions in any of the audit findings, giving the district a “clean” opinion without reservation.

LHS English Teacher Makes Second Appearance on ‘Jeopardy!’
Lindbergh High School English Teacher Sandy Olive is returning to “Jeopardy!” on Nov. 21, to compete in the Champions Wildcard Tournament! Olive teaches College Composition 1 and 2, and English 2 Honors, and is the Scholar Bowl Coach at Lindbergh High School.

Lindbergh Schools Board of Education Candidate Filing
Filing for the Lindbergh Schools Board of Education Election will begin on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 8 a.m. and continue through Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2023, at 5 p.m. Two positions are available for three-year terms.

Finance Advisory Committee Meeting: November 14, 2023
During the November meeting of the Finance Board Advisory Committee, Keith Slusser of Fick, Eggemeyer and Williamson presented a summary of the district's annual audit report and answered questions from board advisory committee members without district employees present in the room.

District Dedicates Idea Center for Gifted Education
Lindbergh Schools celebrated the grand opening of a dedicated gifted education center for elementary school students on Nov. 13, 2023.

Technology Advisory Committee Update: November 6, 2023
The Technology Board Advisory Committee discussed creating Student Agreements for technology use. Committee members will review draft agreements for students in different grade levels and provide feedback.

Steering Committee Continues Strategic Planning Work
The Lindbergh Schools Strategic Planning Steering Committee held its second meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 2, to review community data and provide direction on the district’s five-year strategic plan.

Lindbergh Board of Education Approves 2023 Tax Rate
The Lindbergh Schools Board of Education voted on Sept. 16 to accept the annual 2023 tax rate. The board voted 7-0 on the blended tax rate, not to exceed 3.0055 per $100 of the assessed valuation for 2023, a decrease of 3.12 cents from the 2022 rate.
