Lindbergh Schools is a proud partner of the OASIS Tutoring Program. OASIS pairs older adult volunteers with elementary school students for individualized help developing reading and language skills. In addition to improved reading and language skills, OASIS helps students build self-esteem and positive attitudes toward learning.

The program focuses on students in grades K-3, with a time commitment of 30 minutes per week throughout the school year. Volunteers do not need any previous teaching experience. You only need enthusiasm, patience and compassion to be a friend and role model. Prospective tutors must complete a 10-hour training class and background check. Regular tutor meetings provide the help, support and enrichment ideas for working with students.
