Inclusion, Equity and Diversity

  • Lindbergh Schools is committed to creating and maintaining an equitable and inclusive community of belonging where all stakeholders are treated with dignity. We strive to uphold high academic standards for all students through culturally responsive classroom instruction, professional learning and sustainable relationships with our community.

Lindbergh's efforts in inclusion, equity and diversity are led by our teaching and learning department, in cooperation with our Equity and Diversity Committee.

Creating a Culture of Belonging

  • The district will be leading work this school year to create a unique definition of what “belonging” means in Lindbergh, establish the district’s vision, and ensure that all training is aligned to meet district-specific goals and outcomes. This work will be done in partnership with The Core Collaborative, and will happen throughout six days of training during the 2021-22 school year.

District administrators will use the dignity and belonging framework to review current practices in our district and make sure they support a culture of belonging and dignity.

In addition, equity representatives from each building will collaborate with administrators, counselors, instructional directors, social workers, Special School District staff and the high school activities director to research issues of student access and respect in Lindbergh, and build a dignified culture of belonging.

The next step will be for staff to begin working together over the long term to create and maintain an equitable and inclusive community of belonging where all stakeholders are treated with dignity.
