Lindbergh Schools teachers and administrators have been working since 2017 to evaluate grading practices and develop a grading system that provides a consistent and accurate reflection of student learning, measures the growth of all learners, and supports student ownership of their learning.
What is standards-based grading?
Standards-based grading is a system of assessing and reporting that describes student progress in relation to essential standards. It allows teachers to respond to the learning needs of students and personalize their education. Throughout the 2021-22 school year, we will be sharing information and resources to help you understand why this change is taking place, and how it will benefit students and families.
