Lindbergh Schools believes strong community support is essential in providing a high-quality education for all students. To help guide our work, the district has established a series of committees to examine specific elements of the educational landscape and how they operate within our school community.
These committees are designed to engage the community and promote widespread involvement and participation on issues that affect our district. Committees are comprised of students, parents, staff and community members.

This month, the Finance Board Advisory Committee reviewed finance related board agenda items for the month of May.

Student Life Committee Update: April 13, 2023
Jill Lawson, Lindbergh Schools Executive Director of Assessment and Student Services, reviewed the student life committee's year during the last meeting, held April 13.

Finance Committee Update: April 18, 2023
The Finance Board Advisory Committee met in April to preview the district's 2023-24 budget presentation, which will be shared with the board of education during the April 20 board workshop, and review the district's monthly financial reports.

Student Life Committee Update: Feb. 23, 2023
Lindbergh High School counselor Jonathan Riethmeier presented the ICAP/My Path course selection, a new program to help students plan out their classes throughout their high school tenure, at the Feb. 23 Student Life Board Advisory Committee meeting.

During the March meeting of the Finance Board Advisory Committee, Chief Financial Officer Joel Scheible discussed finance items on the upcoming March 14 Board of Education meeting agenda.

Technology Advisory Committee Update: Jan. 23, 2023
During January's meeting, committee members began discussions about one of the district's current Compass goals, investigating an age-appropriate student learning matrix of technology skills.

Student Life Committee Update: Jan. 12, 2023
The Lindbergh Schools Student Life Board Advisory Committee held its fourth meeting of the year on Jan. 12, 2023. After students had taken the fall social-emotional wellbeing assessments, presenters spoke about what that data will help with.

Finance Committee Update: Jan. 17, 2023
During the Finance Board Advisory Committee meeting on Jan. 17, Chief Financial Officer Joel Scheible reviewed finance related agenda items for the upcoming Board of Education meeting. The district is looking ahead to determine revenue for the next fiscal year. This figure is based on increase in assessed valuation of property in the district, and Consumer Price Index information.

Finance Committee Update: Dec. 13, 2022
During the December meeting of the Finance Board Advisory Committee, Chief Financial Officer Joel Scheible provided an update on the district's annual cash flow. November ending balances for operating funds was lower than it has been in the last two years as the district waited for its first tax revenue payment from St. Louis County. That payment was received this week.

Facilities Planning Committee Update: Dec. 13, 2022
Lindbergh's Facilities Planning Board Advisory Committee met on Dec. 13 to review current facilities projects in the district and discuss next steps for the district's Master Facility Plan.

Technology Committee Update: Dec. 12, 2022
The Technology Board Advisory Committee, joined by members of the Teaching and Learning Committee, discussed Lindbergh's current computer science curriculum and instruction.

Teaching and Learning Committee Update: Nov. 30, 2022
During the November meeting of the Teaching and Learning Board Advisory Committee, district Literacy Coordinator Dr. Sarah Valter and Executive Director of Elementary Education Dr. Craig Hamby shared a presentation about literacy instruction and how it continues to evolve to meet the individualized needs of learners.

Finance Committee Update: Nov. 30, 2022
During the November meeting of the Finance Board Advisory Committee, Chief Financial Officer Joel Scheible shared that October ending balances for operating funds look better than they have in several years thanks to an influx of federal funds over the last year, including ESSER III funds and federal food service revenue related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
