LHS, STLCC Partnership Leads to Continued Success
Lindbergh Schools has been recognized by St. Louis Community College for leading the area in student participation in its dual credit and dual enrollment programs during the 2024-25 school year.
Lindbergh Schools partners with STLCC to provide students the opportunity to receive college credit as high school students. This takes place through the Dual Credit program, where students earn college credit for classes taught by high school instructors, and Dual Enrollment, where students earn college credit by attending classes at STLCC-Meramec. The partnership allows students to save money on college tuition, and the program continues to grow.
Lindbergh Schools earned Certificates of Recognition from STLCC as the top school district in the following categories:
- Most Dual Credit Students 2024-2025
- Most Money Saved Overall 2024-2025
In addition, Lindbergh Schools received recognition for honors in the following categories:
- Highest Average Savings per Dual Credit Student
- Highest Average Savings per Dual Enrollment Student
Overall, 487 Lindbergh High School students were enrolled in at least one dual credit class at the high school during the 2024-25 school year, and 39 students were enrolled in the Dual Enrollment Early College program. Students collectively saved $1,824,877.88 in college tuition costs, compared to the cost of credit hours at public colleges or universities in Missouri. They also earned a total of 4,814 dual credit hours.
“Our partnership with the STLCC dual credit and dual enrollment programs helps students get started on ther college degree and save thousands of dollars in future college tuition,” said Dr. Jaime Cavato, Executive Director of Secondary Education. “It's been a great partnership with St. Louis Community College that we are excited to continue.”
LHS offered 18 courses in the dual credit program for the 2024-25 school year, including business, English, mathematics, science, history and political science.
