Lindbergh Schools Named 2024 Heritage Award Winner by Southwest Chamber
May 20, 2025
Lindbergh Schools is this year’s recipient of the Southwest Chamber of Commerce 2024 Heritage Award, in honor of the school district’s 75th anniversary.
The Heritage Award is presented to a longstanding business or organization in the Southwest Area Chamber community who deserves recognition for having had an extended impact on the economy of the community over a period of many years. In 2024, Lindbergh Schools celebrated 75 years of excellence in education, guiding generations of students toward a brighter future.
Superintendent of Schools Dr. Tony Lake accepted the award during the Chamber Awards Luncheon on May 20.
“We greatly appreciate the Chamber’s partnership and support of Lindbergh Schools over the past several decades, and are truly honored to accept this year’s Heritage Award,” Lake said. “As we celebrate this historical milestone as a school district, we also look ahead. We continue to embrace cutting-edge technologies and teaching methods, ensuring that our students are prepared for the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow. We honor our past, celebrate our future, and remain steadfast in our mission: Excellence in Learning. Designing the Future.”
From its humble beginnings in 1949, Lindbergh Schools has grown into a district renowned for its innovative approaches to educating students and supporting success. Today, Lindbergh Schools is committed to helping students succeed not only in academics, but also in life. Lindbergh educators prepare students for success through innovative instruction and a focus on collaboration, creativity, communication and critical thinking. This high-quality education for all students is propelled by strong community support, and a team of excellent teachers, support staff and administrators.
Each year, the district serves more than 7,500 students at 11 different campuses, including one high school, two middle schools, six elementary schools, two early childhood education centers, and an elementary gifted center. We are home to eight National Schools of Character and six National Blue Ribbon Schools.
