The Finance Board Advisory Committee met on May 13 to review finance-related Board of Education agenda items with Chief Financial Officer Joel Scheible.
Finance-related Board of Education agenda items on the May 15 meeting agenda include Financial Reports for the Month Ending April 30, 2025; Payroll and Disbursement Warrants; Budget Adjustments & Fund Transfers; Contracts; Public Gifts to Schools; Prop R 2024 Change Orders, Facilities Surplus Property Declaration, Watson Support Service Center Parking Lease Agreement, and Southwest Food Excellence (SFE) Contract Renewal. The Finance Advisory Committee is scheduled to meet again on June 12.
The Finance Advisory Committee exists to ensure transparency, accountability and efficiency in district finances. Committee members will discuss areas covered by the district's fiscal management policies. In addition, the Board of Education will direct the specific responsibilities of the committee to review any matters potentially having a significant impact on district finances before the board takes action. This committee is chaired by Chief Financial Officer Joel Scheible.
