About Lindbergh Literacy

Literacy instruction in Lindbergh focuses on the reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills our students need to be successful in all future endeavors. From foundational skills in the primary grades to deeper application of comprehension in the intermediate grades and beyond, teaching and learning focuses on providing standards-based, personalized learning experiences for all learners.
At Lindbergh Schools, Literacy:

Is prioritized in every elementary classroom through daily direct, explicit instruction.

Incorporates key elements of reading instruction: phonological awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension.
