Bus Information with FirstView

  • In partnership with First Student, Lindbergh Schools is now using the FirstView app to communicate bus information with families in real time, including your student’s pickup and drop-off times, and any delays or notifications. FirstView allows you to track your student’s bus location, set alerts and receive updates in the event of a delay.

    The app is designed to provide families with a guideline for bus location and estimated time of arrival. However, students should still be at their assigned bus stop 10 minutes prior to estimated or scheduled arrival time. If you do not have access to a smartphone, you can access the desktop portal here.

    App Features Include

    • Live Tracking: Map screen shows location and direction of your student’s bus, your student’s stop schedule and timestamps for student arrivals and departures. You’ll know when the bus arrives to and departs from school.

    • Predictive Stop Arrival Times: FirstView uses route information and real-time GPS data to determine an estimated time of arrival to your stop.

    • Custom Alerts and Messages: Set up push or email notifications alerting you when your student’s bus is a chosen distance or number of minutes away from your stop. Because Lindbergh routes are in such close proximity to school and home, we recommend using the “number of minutes” notification as a more accurate approximation of your bus arrival time.

    • Multi-Stop View: FirstView allows families to track multiple students by assigning each student an individual color. All student stops will appear on the map simultaneously for easy viewing.

    • Additional User Notifications: Connect up to three additional email accounts (including your own) to receive email alerts.

    • Multiple Languages: The FirstView app is available in English, French (Canadian), Spanish, Vietnamese, Oromo, Chinese, Amharic, Tagalog, Somali, and Tigrinya, based on the user’s phone language settings.

    • Secure, Easy Access: FirstView requires a password-protected account for app setup. This way, only you can view your student’s stop.
