Technology Impact Study
-
During the 2019-20 school year, we assessed how access to technology and blended learning experiences could better serve our students. The Technology Impact Study explored a number of questions, including:
- What is the appropriate device for maximizing learning and growth of students in grades 3-12?
- How does a device-rich learning environment affect teaching practices?
- What impact does blended learning have on the development of future-ready skills?
- How do we ensure students have efficient and reliable access to resources at each level?

After many months of student and teacher testing, feedback and review, it was determined that iPads would be provided to students in grades 3-8, and Chromebooks would be provided to high school students.
While both devices increased the frequency of learning opportunities for developing future-ready skills, the combination of iPads and Chromebooks proved to best at creating learning opportunities for students at their respective grade levels.
