Youth Swim Lessons

  • The ability to swim is an important life skill for every child to learn. Youth swim lessons provide a safe and fun environment for kids to build confidence, overcome fears and develop water skills that last a lifetime. Experienced swim instructors teach water safety while helping students advance through five development levels. All swim instructors are certified in First Aid, CPR and AED.

    Guppies, Ages 4-6
    Come get wet! This 30-minute class introduces basic water skills, including face submersion, breath control and supported kicking and floating. Listening, cooperation and self-control will be encouraged in a fun and safe learning environment. Swimsuits are required and parents must remain in the pool area during lessons.

    Goldfish, Ages 7-8
    Hit the pool and have some fun! This 30-minute class builds on basic water skills while introducing fundamental swimming techniques. Students will learn arm movements and independent floating, as well as gliding and object retrieval. Swimsuits are required and parents must remain in the pool area during lessons.

    Flying Fish, Level 3
    Jump right in! This 30-minute class is designed for intermediate swimmers who have mastered basic water skills and fundamental techniques. Each class will focus on developing swim and water safety skills through repetition and encouragement. Lessons include pool safety, independent floating, bobbing, front crawl and underwater skills. Swimsuits are required and parents must remain in the pool area during lessons.

    Dolphins, Level 4
    Challenging and fun! This 30-minute class is designed for experienced students with a strong swimming background. Each class will focus on developing swim and water safety skills through repetition and encouragement. Lessons include pool safety, deep water skills, bobbing, front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke. Swimsuits are required and parents must remain in the pool area during lessons.

    Sharks, Level 5
    Dive deep and have fun! This 30-minute class is designed for experienced students with a strong swimming background. Each class will focus on refining swim and water safety skills through repetition and encouragement. Lessons include pool safety, deep water skills, bobbing, front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke. Swimsuits are required and parents must remain in the pool area during lessons.

Adult Programs

  • Water Aerobics, Ages 17+
    Get fit and have fun! This 60-minute class uses the natural resistance of water to create a variety of fun fitness activities. Water exercise helps increase energy, stamina and strength with little impact on the body. Please check with your health care professional before starting a water aerobics routine. Swimsuits are required and water shoes are recommended.

    Lap Swim
    Swim your way to better health! This 60-minute program allows fitness-minded adults to take to the water without interruption from other swimmers. Two lanes are dedicated for lap swimming with a lifeguard on duty at all times. Circle swimming will be observed when there are more than two swimmers per lane. Swimsuits are required.
