Academic Opportunities

Lindbergh Schools recognizes the importance of supporting student learning during the summer months. This summer, our in-person academic opportunities will focus on remediation for specific content areas.
Elementary school summer school will provide English language arts instruction for students entering grades K-6. Middle school summer school is designed for students entering grades 7-9 with specific needs in reading, English language arts and math. High school summer school is a combination of credit recovery and elective credit options for students entering grades 9-12.
In addition, our Kindergarten Warm Up will help students entering kindergarten for the 2023-24 school year make a successful transition from preschool to elementary school.

Elementary School Summer School

Our four-week Elementary Summer School program serves students entering kindergarten through sixth grade. Incoming kindergarten students are invited based on a lack of prior preschool experience, while students entering grades 1-6 are selected based on our district reading assessments resulting in a required Reading Success Plan. The program focuses on English Language Arts instruction, provided by highly qualified teachers. Participation is by invitation only.

Middle School Summer School
The Middle School Summer School program is designed for students entering grades 7-9 with specific needs in reading. There is also a middle school summer school program for current 6th grade students (entering grade 7) who would like to take Math 7 over the summer to enter Pre-Algebra next year. Students needing reading support will meet four days a week (Monday-Thursday) from 8:15-11:45 a.m. Students enrolling in Math 7 summer school will meet four days a week (Monday through Thursday) from 8:15-11:45 a.m. with some days as virtual work time. Students will receive small group instruction based on ability, not grade level. Students are invited to participate in summer school based on teacher recommendations.Middle School Summer School

High School Summer School
The High School Summer School program is a combination of credit recovery and elective credit options for students entering grades 9-12. Students may take up to two half-credit courses. The program is scheduled for June 9-July 17. Students will meet Monday-Thursday from 7:45-10:25 a.m. or 10:35 a.m.-1:15 p.m. for one course, or 7:45 a.m.-1:15 p.m. for two courses. No school June 19 and July 3. No Friday classes. The registration link will be live at 8 am on Monday, March 3.
