Dr. Tony Lake, Superintendent

Dr. Tony Lake was hired as superintendent of Lindbergh Schools in 2018. During that time, he has led the community in developing a five-year strategic plan and has started a districtwide conversation to redefine student success and reimagine the student learning experience.
“Excellence in Learning. Designing the Future.” is the why behind everything Lindbergh Schools does to prepare students for success through innovative instruction and a focus on collaboration, creativity, communication and critical thinking.
This high-quality education is propelled by strong community support, and a team of excellent teachers, support staff and administrators. Lindbergh serves more than 7,100 students at 11 different campuses, including one high school, two middle schools, six elementary schools and two early childhood education centers. We are home to eight National Schools of Character and six National Blue Ribbon Schools.
Dr. Lake has more than 30 years of education experience, including 19 years in public school administration. He began his career as a middle school and high school social studies teacher, and later served as associate principal and principal of Shawnee Mission North High School, and principal of Blue Valley West High School. Dr. Lake then moved into district administration as Executive Director of School Administration, followed by Chief Operations Officer, for the Blue Valley School District in Overland Park, Kan.
Dr. Lake earned his doctorate and master’s degrees in educational leadership from Baker University in Overland Park, Kan. He also holds a bachelor of science in education from John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Ark.
