District Names 2025 Teacher of the Year

April 7, 2025

Congratulations to Lindbergh High School history teacher Tim Deposki, who has been named the Lindbergh Schools 2025 Teacher of the Year! District and school administrators surprised Deposki during an all-staff assembly on Friday, April 4.

"Mr. Deposki is one of the most talented and respected teachers in our building. Each year, he is singled out by a large number of students as their most trusted adult in the building," LHS Principal Dr. Eric Cochran said. "Aside from his mastery of teaching the Social Studies content, he is dedicated to giving students positive opportunities outside of the classroom through multiple clubs. It is not uncommon to see Mr.Deposki at plays, sporting events, and other events just to show his support for individual students in his classes. He is a remarkable educator."

Mr. Deposki has been on staff at LHS since 2017, starting as an English teaching assistant and taking over as a history teacher in 2018. He is also a 2011 graduate of Lindbergh High School.

In his classroom, he strives to create a student-focused, flexible learning environment that engages students.

“I truly believe that every teacher has something to offer. I personally believe that my leadership comes from being present for my students and colleagues,” Deposki said. “Students will say, ‘Do you ever sleep? Do you ever go home?’ and my honest answer to them is that I’m always here to support them and that I’m your biggest fan.”

Mr. Deposki is a leader at the high school, serving on multiple teams and committees involving student organizations. He has been the teacher advisor for the Foundation Junior Board since 2021; the Travel and Culture Society sponsor since 2021; the Youth and Government sponsor since 2017; and the Mock Trial sponsor since 2017.

Colleagues share that Deposki is a great ambassador for the school, and he regularly shows up to concerts, plays, and sporting events. He is very involved with student organizations and has created an environment where students are comfortable going to him when they have any issues.

Deposki earned a Masters in Education from Saint Louis University, and is working toward his doctorate in American Studies from the same university. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. As Lindbergh’s Teacher of the Year, he will now be in the running for the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s Regional Teacher of the Year award.
