The Lindbergh Schools Foundation hosted its largest ever Senior Scholarship Night on April 2 at Lindbergh High School’s Performing Arts Center, awarding $238,750 in total scholarships to 85 deserving seniors.

The Lindbergh Schools Foundation currently manages the funds and/or administers the selection process for 118 scholarships that are awarded to LHS seniors each year.  Many of these scholarships are given in recognition and memory of special teachers, administrators, coaches, students and alumni. 

​Since its inception, the Lindbergh Schools Foundation has helped provide more than $1.25 million in scholarship funding to 986 LHS students. Funds are raised through private donations, staff contributions and special funds. Scholarship criteria ranges from a multitude of factors, including the following:

• Overcoming adversity
• Special financial needs
• Having a dedicated job
• Plans to join the military
• Plans to attend college
• Plans to attend a vocational school
• Athletics
• Community Service
• Specific school club or activity
• Special interest or hobby

Dr. Mary Louise Zieger Scholarship

Dr. Mary Louise Zieger's educational journey was marked by remarkable achievements and a lifelong commitment to education and community service. Now, her generous gift to the Lindbergh Schools Foundation will help to support future teachers for years to come.

Dr. Zieger was a longtime Lindbergh teacher and administrator. When she passed away, she left the Lindbergh Schools Foundation nearly $1.7 million to continue her legacy of supporting public education. The Dr. Mary Louise Zieger Scholarship is a $56,000, four-year scholarship that was awarded for the very first time this Wednesday, to a Lindbergh High School senior who is planning to study in the field of education. This year, there were two recipients of the award: Lucy Peterein and Katie Polovina.
