Student Life Advisory Committee Update: November 15, 2024

During the November meeting of the Student Life Board Advisory Committee, Blended Learning Coordinator Colin Davitt presented on the topic of Artificial Intelligence and instructional technology.
Committee members discussed where AI is today and how it will change in the future. They also reviewed Lindbergh's Board of Education Policy EHBD: Artificial Intelligence Use, and shared questions and feedback.
To conclude the meeting, Davitt demonstrated how students and teachers can use Securly AI Chat to safely write prompts, gather information, explain concepts in relatable terms and supplement their learning.
The Student Life Advisory Committee provides feedback and recommendations to the Board of Education on topics related to student life and success within Lindbergh Schools. Topics for analysis and feedback include social emotional learning, student safety and wellness, and extracurricular activities.
This committee is chaired by Chief Academic Officer Dr. Tara Sparks and Executive Director of Assessment and Student Services Dr. Jill Lawson.
