Lindbergh Enrollment Continues Upward Trend

Oct. 22, 2024

Lindbergh Schools’ K-12 enrollment continues to grow, increasing by close to 200 students in 2024-25 alone. During the Board of Education regular meeting on Oct. 15, Chief Human Resources Officer Dr. Brian McKenney shared that 183 new students have enrolled districtwide since fall of 2023.

Each year, the district documents its official enrollment on a designated First Semester Count Day. Historical analysis of enrollment trends shows a consistent pattern of growth as cohorts of students matriculate from kindergarten all the way through senior year. This year saw the following increases in each level:

  • Elementary school +44

  • Middle school + 40

  • High school +42

This year’s K-12 enrollment number is 7,290, which is 126 higher than 2023’s count of 7,164. In addition, 550 students graduated in spring 2024, and 493 new kindergarten students enrolled in fall 2024. This starting deficit of 57 students shows that the actual number of new K-12 students since fall 2023 is 183.

“Lindbergh Schools continues to draw families to our community who are seeking high quality, innovative and real-world learning opportunities that will prepare their students for success,” said Superintendent Dr. Tony Lake. “This is thanks to our amazing educators, supportive community and strong families, and we look forward to welcoming many more new students in the years to come.”
