Facilities Board Advisory Committee Update: Oct. 9, 2024

The Facilities Planning Board Advisory Committee held its first meeting of the 2024-25 school year on Oct. 9. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Tony Lake began the meeting by introducing community members and explaining the goals of the committee. 

Dr. Lake also shared an update on district enrollment and reviewed trends from 2011 to present. K-12 enrollment has grown by about 150 students from 2023-24 to 2024-25.

Committee members also listened to an update on Prop R 2024 bond issue construction progress, including plans for the Farmers Club AgTech STEM learning center. The Facilities Planning Advisory Committee will make recommendations about facility needs and improvements, instructional design and district enrollment trends. The committee will also review and update Lindbergh's demographic study every two years. The committee's next meeting will be on Dec. 11.

This committee is chaired by Chief Financial Officer Joel Scheible and Chief Human Resources Officer Dr. Brian McKenney. Meetings are run by Superintendent Dr. Tony Lake.
