You’re Invited! Celebrate 75 Years of Lindbergh With Us This October

Lindbergh Schools became a school district in October 1949. To celebrate 75 years, we are opening our doors this October and inviting members of the Lindbergh community to visit our schools for a variety of special events!
These community events and activities are designed to bring together our community and celebrate our schools.
Sappington Community Art Mural - Oct. 2-3
Sappington Elementary School students will create a collage at school using recycled materials honoring the 75th anniversary of Lindbergh Schools. This will align with the Families in Specials Day, Oct. 2-3. If you are a member of the community and would like to participate in this collaborative art project, please contact Sappington Principal Dr. Ta’Keshia Parker for more information: takeshiaparker@lindberghschools.ws.
LHS Homecoming Parade and Football Game - Saturday, Oct. 5
9 a.m. - Parade
11 a.m. - Football Game
You're invited to LHS for the Homecoming Parade and football game on Saturday, Oct. 5! The parade will travel from Sperreng Middle School to Lindbergh High School, via Concord School Road and Roxanna. Can't make it? Watch the parade livestream on the Lindbergh Schools YouTube channel.
Crestwood Prop R Construction Beam Signing - Oct. 8, 4-5 p.m.
Students, staff, and Board of Education members will celebrate the beginning of a new construction project made possible by the Lindbergh Community. Stop by to be a part of the celebration and learn more about the space upgrades that are being made possible thanks to community support of the Prop R no-tax-rate-increase bond issue. Visitors will have the opportunity to sign a steel beam that will be part of the new Crestwood gymnasium!
Listening and Learning with Superintendent Dr. Tony Lake -Tuesday, Oct. 8, 6-7 p.m.

Each year, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Tony Lake visits with Lindbergh parents, teachers, students, and community members to talk about the work our school district is doing to prepare all students for successful futures. This presentation will cover the district's updated success measures, our revised five-year strategic plan, and upcoming priorities for facility improvements through the Prop R 2024 bond issue. All are welcome!
Concord Community Tour and Open House - Wednesday, Oct. 9, 5:45-6:45 p.m.
Calling all Concord Flyers! Students and staff will lead guided tours of Concord Elementary School for current families, Concord alumni, and anyone in the community who is interested in visiting one of Lindbergh’s most historic elementary schools!
LHS Fall Play: The Mousetrap - Oct. 10-12, 7 p.m.
LHS Players present "The Mousetrap": Oct. 10-12 at 7 p.m. in the LHS Performing Arts Center. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.! Purchase tickets online at https://www.onthestage.tickets/lindbergh-high-school-thespians/season or at the door. All seating is general admission.
Sperreng Middle School Color Run/Fun Run - Saturday, Oct. 12, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
Sperreng Middle School is hosting a family-friendly fun run for the entire community! Participate in a one-mile color run with treats and music! Registration is required. For more information and to register, click HERE.
Sunday Night Lights - Sunday, Oct. 13, 5:30 p.m.
Lindbergh Schools supports all of the heroes at Sunday Night Lights, during the event’s 15 Year Anniversary celebration. Dressel Dresseltastic Performance! - Thursday, Oct. 17, 9-10:30 a.m.
You are invited to a Dresseltastic Performance! Dressel Elementary School presents student entertainment at 9 a.m., Oct. 17, followed by student-led tours of Lindbergh's newest elementary school.
Kennerly Cards for the Community - October 1-31
Kennerly kids are making cards for community members throughout the month of October! At the end of the month, students visit neighboring Cedarhurst of Tesson Heights to share caring messages and cards. Would you like a few or several student-made cards for a group in your community? Please call Kennerly at 314-729-2440 and help us share messages of encouragement and hope throughout the Lindbergh community!
Call Newspapers Job Fair at Lindbergh High School -
Friday, Oct. 18, 2-6 p.m.
Lindbergh Schools is proud to cosponsor a Community Job Fair with Call Newspapers and the Southwest Chamber of Commerce. All are welcome to attend.
Stories to Service Community Read Along - Oct. 23-24
Community volunteers are invited to read aloud select picture books in Lindbergh elementary school classrooms. Our theme this year is "Intergenerational Relationships." Following the community readalong, students will engage in service learning projects inspired by the books. Reader signup information coming soon!
Truman STEM Night - Wednesday, Oct. 23, 6-7:30 p.m.
Truman Middle School staff and students are planning a STEM night. The night will have activities centered around science, technology, engineering, and math for our families. All are welcome to attend.
All Orchestras Fall Concert - Thursday, Oct. 24
Enjoy a night of music during the Lindbergh High School fall orchestra concert. Location: LHS Performing Arts Center. Admission is free.

Idea Center 75 Book Challenge - Friday, Oct. 25, 2:30-3:30 p.m.
Lindbergh Gifted Education invites the community to read 75 books to celebrate Lindbergh's 75th Anniversary! Read, listen, or share 75 books between now and Oct. 25, and document your reading using this Book Challenge Form: https://forms.gle/7c3Ld8e1ofiuf6uS7. Community members will be invited to place your name on our 75 Books for 75 Years Banner during our Idea Center reading party on Oct. 25! Students who meet the goal will bring their favorite stuffed animal for a celebratory reading party.
Early Childhood Education Trunk or Treat - Saturday, Oct. 26,11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Join us for a special ECE Trunk or Treat event! Each ECE classroom will transform a trunk into a themed treat station filled with goodies for all. Come dressed in your favorite costume and enjoy the fun and festivities!
Long Student-Led School Tours - Sunday, Oct. 27, 2:30-3:30 p.m.
Students and staff will lead guided tours of Long Elementary School for current families, Long alumni, and anyone in the community who is interested in learning from Long Leaders about what makes their school a special place for all learners!
