Task Force Examines High School Experience
Dec. 7, 2023
During the Dec. 7 meeting of the Embedded Credits and Academies Task Force, teachers shared key findings from their site visits to various high schools that are redefining what the student learning experience looks like in grades 9-12.
Lindbergh teachers and administrators visited five high schools in Illinois that are implementing embedded credits and academies. Consistent themes that emerged from the visits included: integrated classes, career pathways, blended learning and a PAC that is structured with clear expectations.
The Embedded Credits and Academies Task Force began meeting on Oct. 5, to examine the high school student learning experience and explore how Lindbergh Schools can expand opportunities for students to access credits and coursework that support their personalized goals for college and career readiness. The work group’s recommendations will ultimately help design programming that could begin in the 2025-26 school year.
