During January's meeting, committee members began discussions about one of the district's current Compass goals, investigating an age-appropriate student learning matrix of technology skills.

The district wants to use this matrix to ensure that all students going through Lindbergh have the skills necessary for future success.

Committee members were split into small groups and asked to come up with a list of skills they felt students needed to learn. Members were also asked to give their input on when they felt it was best for the students to learn certain skills, and who should be responsible for teaching them. Questions were raised about whether the district should embrace or block new technologies like virtual reality, and Chat GPT.

The committee will come together during the next meeting on Feb. 27 to go over the matrix created based on feedback from the January meeting.
