Finance Committee Update: Oct. 13, 2022

During the October meeting of the Finance Board Advisory Committee, a representative from the district’s auditor, Fick, Eggemeyer and Williamson, presented the annual audit report and answered questions from committee members.

The committee also reviewed transportation routes for the 2022-23 school year. Both items will be presented to the Board of Education on Oct. 18. The audit opinion is once again an unmodified or “clean” opinion. The financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, the respective financial position of the governmental activities, each major fund and the aggregate remaining fund information of Lindbergh Schools as of June 30, 2022.

The Finance Advisory Committee exists to ensure transparency, accountability and efficiency in District finances. Committee members will discuss areas covered by the district’s fiscal management policies. In addition, the Board of Education will direct the specific responsibilities of the committee to review any matters potentially having a significant impact on district finances before the board takes action.

The next meeting is on Tuesday, Nov. 15.
