New Positions Focus on Inclusion and Intervention
March 10, 2021
Lindbergh Schools is pleased to welcome two new team members to the Teaching and Learning department for the 2021-22 school year: Inclusion, Equity and Diversity Director Dr. Jeremy Mapp, and Intervention Coordinator Maureen Stabler.
Dr. Jeremy Mapp, Inclusion, Equity and Diversity Director
In the role of Inclusion, Equity and Diversity Director, Dr. Jeremy Mapp will support building classroom communities and creating a culture of inclusion for students and staff.
Dr. Mapp currently serves as assistant principal of Keysor Elementary School in the Kirkwood School District, where he leads the social-emotional learning work for students and staff prioritizing building relationships. His additional experience as a former elementary and middle school teacher and a house parent at Joe’s Place, a home for homeless teenage boys in the Maplewood Richmond Heights School District, gives him a K-12 perspective of supporting students of diverse backgrounds.
“I see and appreciate differences in people and find ways to make these unique qualities positive rather than negative,” Dr. Mapp said. “I look forward to building relationships and supporting students and staff in the Lindbergh community.”
Dr. Mapp earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Maryville University, and a Master of Arts in Elementary Education and Bachelor of Science in Psychology both from Truman State University.
Maureen Stabler, Intervention Coordinator
As Lindbergh’s new intervention coordinator, Maureen Stabler will develop a procedural process to support students at all levels, and support teachers to ensure students receive essential supports to help them grow. Stabler has experience with multi-tiered systems of support, which identify and address both academic and behavioral needs of students to help them be successful.
Stabler currently serves as a school psychologist for the Special School District of St. Louis County, working with students at Dressel Elementary School and Southview School. Her experience with the district’s work in this area equips her with a clear understanding of the work being done to support students.
She earned an Education Specialist Degree in School Psychology from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Fontbonne University. In addition, Stabler is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist.
