Lindbergh Schools Closed Through Friday, April 3
March 15, 2020
Dear Lindbergh Community,
All St. Louis county and city school districts, including Lindbergh Schools, will close beginning Wednesday, March 18, and ending preliminarily on Friday, April 3.
This extended school closure is being announced to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all students and staff, and to do our part to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 throughout the St. Louis region. It includes all schools, Lindbergh Early Childhood Education, school age Flyers Club, and all activities, including athletics and extracurricular practices and competitions.
Lindbergh’s administrative team has been working around the clock to ensure that student needs continue to be met, and equip Lindbergh’s instructional team with the tools they need to provide supplemental instruction while students are at home. These details are still being finalized, and we will update families with more information by mid week.
The decision to close schools was extremely difficult, made in consultation with all area superintendents and out of an abundance of caution for our families. I understand that such an unprecedented measure presents hardships for many families. However, we must balance that impact with the importance of supporting measures that will keep our entire community healthy and safe.
Together, our Lindbergh community is strong in our support for one another. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this challenge with caring, informed decision-making that is in the best interest of our entire community.
I also invite you to bookmark go.lindberghschools.ws/covid19 for updates, resources and links to information as this situation progresses.
Sincerely,
Dr. Tony Lake
Superintendent
