Oct. 27, 2022

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced that four Lindbergh High School students have been named Commended Students in the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program. Commended students are being recognized for exceptional academic promise demonstrated by their outstanding performance on the qualifying test used for program entry.

Seniors Althea Bartz-Willis, Alexander Carron, Vernon Lin and Abigail Mohn are among 34,000 students nationwide who have been named Commended Students this year.

"We are extremely proud of these students and their dedication to their studies," LHS Principal Dr. Eric Cochrand said. "This honor highlights the effort that each of them put into their work."

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation has recognized 50,000 students this year for their exceptional academic performance. Commended Students placed among the top of more than 1.5 million students who took the 2021 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
