Board of Education Seeks Student Representative

The Lindbergh Schools Board of Education is pleased to announce the addition of a student representative seat on the board. This position will be open to eligible juniors and seniors through an application process, and is designed to enhance student voice and expand student representation in district governance.

Eligibility

Students must be entering 11th or 12th grade, and will be required to attend all Board of Education meetings and workshops throughout the year. Prior student leadership experience is preferred.The Board of Education will select two students: a senior to serve on the board, and a junior to serve as member-elect.

What is the role of the student board member?

Lindbergh’s student board member will: 

  • Have a seat at the board table and actively participate in all public meetings
  • Represent the student body and provide the board with student perspective on issues
  • Actively engage with board members and administrators on a regular basis
  • Work with board president and superintendent to add items to the agenda, ensuring issues are discussed that are important to the student body
