Student Enrollment for District Technology Devices
July 16, 2020
All Lindbergh students in grades 6-12 will receive new devices this August as part of the district’s plan to help students develop future-ready skills by providing equitable access to educational technology. The first step in this process is for students to enroll for accident and loss protection for their devices. This enrollment is required for all students to receive their devices and can be completed by following the steps below.
Lindbergh Schools is partnering with One2One Risk Solutions to provide accident and loss protection for the district’s blended learning devices. Please review the Blended Learning Technology Handbook for more details.
Technology Fee
As a district, we will help students learn how to protect their devices. However, we are realistic that accidents happen. To protect families from costly repairs, we are introducing an annual technology fee, per student. The fee structure will be as follows***:
- $20 - Annual technology fee, per student (covers first accidental damage event)
- $10 - Second accidental damage event
- $20 - Third accidental damage event (continue to add $10 for each additional damage event)
- $100 - Replacement cost for a lost or stolen device
- $0 - Manufacturer defects will be repaired or replaced at no cost to the student
*** All costs are reduced by 50% for families enrolled in the Free and Reduced Lunch program.
Each student must be enrolled with One2One Risk Solutions before they receive an iPad or a Chromebook. If your family needs assistance with the fees listed above, please log on to the SIS portal via a computer and complete the Technology Fee Waiver Form. Once you are logged in to the SIS Portal, select the yellow alert bar to view optional e-Forms available, and select “Technology Fee Waiver Form.” You will receive an email when your form has been approved by the district and you can continue with the enrollment process.
Registration
Please visit https://www.one2onerisk.com and select “Enroll My Device” to get started. You will need to complete a separate enrollment process for each student.
