Mar. 13, 2024
Lindbergh Schools is pleased to introduce Kaitlyn McGovern as the next principal of Lindbergh Early Childhood Education, effective July 1, 2024. The Board of Education approved her hire on March 12.
McGovern currently works in Lindbergh as an elementary school instructional design coach. In this leadership role, she collaborates with teachers to analyze student data and develop targeted instructional strategies that benefit students. She also leads professional learning for staff and supports the implementation of best practices in curriculum design, instructional delivery and assessment.
Prior to joining Lindbergh Schools in 2022, McGovern served as a first grade teacher and summer school principal in the Parkway School District. She is certified in educational leadership, elementary education, and preschool education.
“I am excited to continue Lindbergh’s longstanding tradition of providing outstanding early childhood education to the children in our community, and I look forward to building relationships with ECE staff, students and families very soon,” McGovern said.
McGovern earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Maryville University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Illinois College. She will replace ECE Principal Dr. Charlene Ziegler, who is retiring at the end of this school year.
