Reopening Task Force Update: July 13, 2020
July 13, 2020
The Lindbergh Schools Reopening Task Force met on Wednesday, July 8 to begin the final steps of creating a safe, equitable and high-quality plan for returning to school that meets the diverse needs of students within this current pandemic.
During the meeting, task force subcommittees finalized protocols and began drafting their sections of the district plan, in preparation for release to the community on July 20. At that time, families, students and employees will be invited to review the plan, ask questions and provide feedback.
Based on community feedback and the ability to do our best to support social distancing in buildings, the task force is finalizing details in order to offer two separate options for students:
- Full-time, in person instruction
- A high quality virtual learning experience for families who need or prefer this option
School Reopening Plan Coming Soon
School districts across the St. Louis region are planning to share their reopening plans with the community on Monday, July 20. Lindbergh Superintendent Dr. Tony Lake has been meeting regularly with school superintendents from across the region to ensure that Lindbergh’s reopening plan is consistent with surrounding school districts and aligns with St. Louis County Health Department guidance. We are mindful that these guidelines and recommendations could change, and we will remain flexible as we work to accomplish our most important goal, which is to do what is best for kids and families.
