District Announces New Concord Elementary School Principal

March 18, 2022

Lindbergh Schools welcomes Brian Moeckel as principal of Concord Elementary School for the 2022-23 school year, effective July 1. The Board of Education approved his hire on March 17.

Moeckel currently serves as assistant principal of Claymont Elementary School in the Parkway School District. In his current role, he has been instrumental in developing and facilitating professional learning for teachers, and has prioritized communication with families and staff. He has also worked to develop schoolwide behavior expectations to support a positive student learning environment.

Moeckel began his career teaching third and fifth grade in the Webster Groves School District and has served as an assistant principal in the Parkway district since 2015, first at Henry Elementary School and then at Claymont. He also served as an elementary summer school principal in 2016 and 2018.

“I am excited to begin building relationships in the Concord Elementary School community and continue its strong tradition of helping every child learn and grow,” Moeckel said.

Moeckel earned a Master of Arts in Teaching, with an emphasis in Educational Technology, and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership, both from Webster University; and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Missouri Western State University. He will replace Concord’s current principal Dr. Angie Moehlmann, who is retiring at the end of this school year.
