STLCC Recognizes Lindbergh Schools as Top District

Lindbergh Schools has been named a Top Five District for dual credit hours by St. Louis Community College. The district was the top overall district for “Most St. Louis Community College Dual Credit Students” and “Most Money Saved in College Costs for Students.” This partnership with STLCC provides Lindbergh students the opportunity to receive dual credit between high school and college. 

Lindbergh Schools earned Certificates of Recognition from STLCC as a top-five school district for five categories and top-overall school district in the following two categories:

  • Most St. Louis Community College Dual Credit Students, 2020-21 
  • Most Money Saved in College Costs for Students, 2020-21

Overall, 312 Lindbergh High School students were enrolled in at least one dual credit class during the 2020-21 school year, and 42 students were enrolled in the dual enrollment program. Lindbergh Schools, in partnership with St. Louis Community College's Dual Credit/ Enrollment Partnerships Program, also saved students $904,791 in future college tuition costs during the 2020-21 school year.

In addition, Lindbergh Schools was recognized as a top five district in the following categories:

  • Most Early College Students, 2020-21
  • Highest Average Enrollment per St. Louis Community Dual Credit Section, 2020-21
  • Most St. Louis Community College Dual Credit Offerings with Enrollment at a High School, 2020-21

“Our partnership with the STLCC dual credit program allows students who are already doing rigorous, college-level learning to also get a jumpstart on a college degree and save thousands of dollars in college tuition,” said Ronni Zagora, Executive Director of Secondary Education. “This program is extremely valuable to our students and we are excited to watch the program continue to grow at Lindbergh.”

LHS offered 15 classes in the dual credit program for the 2020-21 school year, including business, English, mathematics, science, and political science. In the dual credit/dual enrollment program, LHS students earned a total of 3,036 dual credit hours.
