Donation to Help Fund Sperreng Makerspace
August 30, 2016
Commerce Bank recently donated $750 to the Sperreng Middle School PTO, which will help the school fund a makerspace in the school library.
A makerspace allows students to explore science, technology, engineering and math through hands-on opportunities such as robotics, coding and building. This will allow students to engage at a deeper level with materials that challenge their creativity and thinking, said Principal Dr. Mark Eggers.
“We truly appreciate our partnership with Commerce Bank, and our PTO fundraising chair Erica Crowell-Hoffman for securing this donation,” Eggers said.
