Six District Teachers Celebrate #BestSchoolDay
March 11, 2016
Twitter co-founder and St. Louis native Jack Dorsey surprised educators across Missouri on Thursday by fully funding their projects registered at DonorsChoose.org as part of the #BestSchoolDay campaign.
Dorsey’s generosity will impact more than 300 Lindbergh students in all grade levels. Six Lindbergh teachers received an email early Thursday morning informing them of the exciting news.
“This announcement was unbelievable and completely unexpected,” said Long Elementary School teacher Lewis Naeger. “Our project only had two weeks left before it expired, so we were extremely excited to learn that it had been fully funded.”
Naeger’s project, which will provide alternative learning stations for his energetic fifth-graders, received 15 online donations to reach its $2,233 goal.
“These stations are great for group collaboration as well as individual work,” Naeger added. “We cannot wait to add them to our learning environment.”
