Lindbergh Lacrosse Club Spruces Up Stadium “L”
October 17, 2017
The Lindbergh Schools Board of Education recently recognized the Lindbergh Lacrosse Club for their efforts to repair and repaint the large “L” on the Lindbergh High School track stadium.
When parents and athletes with the lacrosse club noticed that the “L” on the track field was in disrepair earlier this year, they generously offered their time to make it look nicer. Over the course of one weekend, parents and players removed the old rocks surrounding the “L,” dug out the perimeter, replaced the rocks and repainted the “L” bright yellow.
“Part of the Lacrosse Club’s mission is that they strive to have a team where all members represent themselves, their families, their team and their school honorably,” said Board President Karen Schuster during the board’s Oct. 10 meeting. “This service project is a perfect example of that commitment. The lacrosse team plays a portion of its games on the high school track field, but their hard work will benefit many other sports teams who use the field as well, and we thank them for their service.”
