Reopening Task Force Update: June 8, 2020
June 8, 2020
This week, the School Reopening Task Force reviewed data from the School Re-Entry Survey, which was sent to district employees and families on May 20. The task force also divided into subgroups to further evaluate options based on the community data, and began working in subcommittees to address issues specific to teaching and learning, facilities, health and safety, student transportation, meal service, child care, human relations and communications.
The task force also listened to a presentation about COVID-19 and children, presented by task force member Rachel Charney, MD, who is a Lindbergh parent and also serves as professor of pediatric emergency medicine for Saint Louis University, and medical director of disaster preparedness for SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.

School Reopening Task Force
The School Reopening Task Force’s primary goal is to provide a safe, high-quality learning environment for all students and staff, and create a plan that meets the diverse needs of students within this current pandemic. This group will meet weekly over the summer and share a draft plan with the community in mid-July. Until then, the district will share weekly updates via email and online.
