Planning for the 2020-21 School Year
May 20, 2020
Dear Lindbergh Community,
As the 2019-20 school year draws to a close, we shift our focus to plan for a safe return to school in the fall. Listening to our families and employees will be a crucial first step in this process. Your feedback will help us understand the needs of our students, families and staff, measure the successes and challenges of virtual learning, and plan well so we can continue to meet the educational needs of every child we serve.
Thank you for taking a few minutes to fill out this scientific survey that has been developed by our partner Hanover Research. Please share your feedback on or before Wednesday, May 27.
School Reopening Task Force
The district has formed a School Reopening Task Force that includes parents, teachers, students, staff and medical professionals. This task force will begin meeting next week, and continue to meet weekly throughout the summer to investigate how we can best meet the diverse needs of our students, families and employees for the 2020-21 school year.
Developing a Plan for Fall 2020
In mid-July, the Task Force will share a comprehensive plan for reopening school in August. At that time, we will invite community members to review the plan, provide feedback and make suggestions.
As part of their work to help the district provide a high-quality, safe learning environment for all, School Reopening Task Force members will discuss procedures and planning related to teaching and learning, facilities, health and safety, student transportation, meal service, child care, human relations, and communications.
Thank you in advance for taking time to share your feedback with us as we begin planning for a safe and successful reopening of school in fall 2020. We appreciate all of you and the contributions you make each day to do what is best for Lindbergh students.
Sincerely,
Dr. Tony Lake
Superintendent
