District Earns School Bus Maintenance Award
August 26, 2016
The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education recently recognized Lindbergh Schools and First Student for their exemplary school bus maintenance program. First Student has been the district’s transportation provider since 2001.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol inspects school buses each year to ensure compliance with state safety regulations. Districts and transportation providers who have 90 percent of their buses pass inspection on the first examination receive the Exemplary School Bus Maintenance Award.
“It is our goal to exceed expectations in all aspects of education,” said assistant superintendent Chuck Triplett, who oversees student transportation. “We are proud to partner with First Student to provide safe and reliable transportation for our students.”
First Student is North America’s leading school bus transportation company. It is responsible for safely transporting 6 million students to and from school every day.
