Young Artists Bloom Thanks to Master Mentors
June 3, 2015
A handful of talented Lindbergh artists were paired with professional mentors to exchange perspectives and techniques as part of the 2015 Blooming Artists Project. The initiative, created by Crestwood Elementary School art teacher Marilyn Callahan, allows students to share original artwork with their mentors who then create their own piece inspired by their young counterparts.
Both the students’ and master artists’ pieces were showcased during an exhibition at the Clayton Fine Art Gallery on May 29. The exhibition included formal presentations and discussions by both artists to elaborate on their thoughts and recognize the power of their work and future potential.
The artwork will be displayed at the Clayton Fine Art Gallery through July 4.
