Two Lindbergh Schools employees recently completed the process to become United States citizens. Truman Middle School teacher Robin Vallis and Crestwood Elementary School technology assistant Festa Bokshi both took their oaths of citizenship on April 21.
Truman Middle School students wore red, white and blue on April 24 to celebrate this achievement for Vallis, who moved to the United States after attending college at Lindenwood University. He is originally from the city of Saskatoon, in Saskatchewan province of Canada. Vallis said he officially decided to pursue citizenship after meeting his wife, Megan, in college. Megan Vallis is the Truman Middle School library media specialist.
Festa Bokshi has been working as a technology assistant at Crestwood Elementary School since February 2017. She has been living in the United States with her family since 2011 and recently graduated from St. Louis Community College with her degree in Early Childhood Education. Bokshi was born and raised in the Republic of Kosovo, which is one of the newest countries in the world and is located in southeastern Europe. Her sister attends Lindbergh High School.
