    PLEASE STAND FOR THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE!

    Announcements for Today, February 22:

    *If you did not have your course registration form for PAC this week because you forgot it or were absent, please bring it to the multipurpose room this Friday during your lunch.  We will be having a makeup session to get your course requests entered for next year.

    *Attention any student trying out for baseball.  There will be a mandatory meeting after school today in Gym 3.  Tryouts begin on Monday 2/26. 

    *Key Club is meeting after school today in room 24.

    *In honor of Black History Month, today we celebrate Mae C. Jemison, an astronaut, physician and engineer who was the first Black woman to travel in space. Jemison received degrees from both Cornell University and Stanford University which broke barriers for not only women, but women of color. 

    *The following college representatives will be visiting LHS.  Today, Mizzou - 4th hour & Missouri State - 6th hour.  Friday, February 23rd , Drury University - 4th hour.  Monday, February 26th, St. Louis Community Colleges - 6th hour & Tuesday, February 27th, McKendree University - 3rd hour.  Sign up through Family Connections to attend.

    * Working 9-5, what a way to make a living! This year’s musical tells a story of how three women fight their way through stereotypes, and bosses to make a difference! Fun and quirky, with all kinds of twists. Opening night is tonight at 7pm, so be there! But don’t worry if you can’t make it, see it February 23 at 7pm, or on the 24th at 2pm or 8pm. Student tickets are $10. General admission $15.

    * The prom dress drive is going on now! Donated dresses will benefit girls in need across the St. Louis area. Bring your dresses to the library any day this week or to the commons this Saturday February 24 from 9-2. Those who donate dresses will get a discount coupon from David's Bridal! Help Key Club meet their goal of 100 dresses!

    *Spring sports begin next Monday, February 26.  Stop by to pick up your packet or tryout slip. 

    *Attention students interested in high school cheerleading: Tryout packets are now available in the Athletic office. There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, February 28 in the New Cafeteria at 6 PM. Tryouts will be April 2 - April 6. Be sure to pick up a cheer tryout packet in the office today!

    *Do you want to help welcome the class of 2022? If so, Link Crew is for you.  Any sophomores or juniors interested in being a Link Crew Leader should come to an informational meeting during 8th hour Wednesday February 28th in Gym 2.  If you cannot make it, see Mrs. Kershaw in room 153 or Mrs. McCarty in room 128.

    *Seniors!  Scholarship deadlines are approaching.  Lindbergh Alumni Association & Lindbergh Alumni Association scholarship for students entering a trade or vocation school both have deadlines of February 28th.   The deadline for the Curtis Kenner scholarship is March 2nd. To apply for these and more, visit Family Connections.

    *Any student interested in using Ozobots, Makey Makeys, and Spheros should sign up for the February CR8. Librarians from St. Louis County Library will bring these robotic devices for students to use on Feb 28th during 8th hour. Snacks are provided.

    *St. Louis County Parks and Recreation is looking for volunteers to assist with numbering their eggs for their Egg Hunt on March 10 from 12:30pm – 4:30pm. If you are interested contact Susan Tornetto at stornetto@stlouisco.com.

    *Attention students interested in the Flyerette Dance Team: Tryout packets are now available in the Athletic Office. There will be optional tryout clinics throughout March as well as a mandatory clinic on March 13. Tryouts will begin March 26. Be sure to pick up a Flyerette tryout packet in the office for more information.

    *Did you sign up for a learning lab for your 2018-19 classes? Do you want to be involved in Lindbergh but you don’t have time to do stuff after school?  Join Character Council!!! It is a 5th hour learning lab that focuses on improving the school culture through PAC videos, posters, and more! You will have half of the week for learning lab time and the other half will be character. As a member you are expected to contribute regularly and have a record of good character and citizenship at LHS.  Pick up an application from Mrs. Reed in room 336.

    *Apotheosis Literary Magazine is now accepting art, poetry, and short story submissions! Please submit your work to apotheosis@lindberghschools.ws.

    *STUDENTS!! If you are looking for a job, swing by the counseling office and check out the job board in the hall. Currently, Ted Drewes and a few new places are looking for some awesome new employees!

    Athletic Events for Today

    Girls JV and Varsity Basketball are @ Marquette at 4:15 and 5:30.

    Boys JV and Varsity Basketball are @ Marquette at 5:30 and 7:00.
