Lindbergh Community Driver Education offers 3 four-week summer sessions, two nights a week that combines classroom instruction, driving simulation, and behind-the-wheel experience. Participants will learn skills related to traffic laws and situations, vehicle dynamics and driving environments while developing the techniques necessary to become low-risk defensive drivers for life.
Participants must be at least 15 years of age with a valid Missouri driving permit. This is a non-credit course, but may help participants qualify for auto insurance discounts. The cost is $265 for district residents and $315 for non-district residents.

Summer classes meet two nights per week from 6-8 p.m. at Lindbergh High School. All classes are led by certified driving instructors and follow strict safety guidelines.
Street driving schedule - The first night of class students will sign-up for the driving portion of the class which consists of 3, one hours sessions in our vehicle (with safety brake) and our instructor. Students and parents are asked to come 30 minutes early the first night and they may bring a parent or a good calendar when signing up for the street driving.
Parent presentation - We are pleased to announce that Carol Hoormann, Executive Director of Modsea (Missouri Driver and Safety Education Association) will be making a presentation for parents on the first night coinciding with your student's class. The presentation will last 1-1.5 hours and will take place while the students are in their class. Parents will be escorted to the library at approximately 6:00 after the sign-up for drive time is completed.
Absence - Students are allowed to miss 2 classroom sessions.
Street driving - If a student misses a street driving portion and does not contact the instructor prior to the scheduled time within the timeframe of cancellation provided by the instructor, that time is not made up. Certificates are given the last night of class. Please keep these as they will be for your insurance company you are with now or may be insured with in the future. Our records are only kept for one year. Some insurance companies recognize the class and give discounts, not all do.
