As aggressive enrollment increases continue to put a strain on Lindbergh Schools, the district's Board of Education voted in October 2014 to build an early childhood education building at Truman Middle School that will protect the future of part-day programs for Lindbergh's youngest students.
Lindbergh Early Childhood Education West will include eight classrooms to serve children ages 2-5. Special Education services will also be available for early childhood education students. These part-day programs are currently housed at Dressel School and there is no available space for them to move within Lindbergh's existing buildings.
ECE West, which is scheduled to open in August 2015, also will include a multipurpose room that will be available for ECE students, Truman Middle School physical education and after-school Lindbergh Athletic Association use.
