Link Crew is the freshman transition program at Lindbergh High school. The program's purpose is to ease the transition from middle school to high school for Lindbergh High School students. This transition is one of the most difficult for young people. Research has shown that if students are successful during their first year of high school, graduation rates will be higher.
Link Crew Leaders work individually with ninth-grade students before the start of school. Leaders are selected from junior and senior applicants. During the first transition day, link leaders partner with freshmen to teach peer relationship activities. Ninth-graders also start to develop an important friendship with their link leaders, who serve as mentors throughout the entire school year. Link Crew Leaders will stay in touch with their freshmen regularly.
