    What is National Honor Society?
    Who is eligible?
    All sophomores and juniors with a 3.5 or above cumulative weighted grade point average.
    How do I apply? 
    There are four parts necessary for National Honor Society candidacy - Student Information Google Form, Candidate Selection Application, Obtain Signatures and 5 Teacher Recommendations.  Complete all four parts on or before February 15, 2019 at 2:30 pm.  No late applications will be accepted.  Applications should be turned into Kathy Bowden (Dr. Cochran's Administrative Assistant in the bubble office).
    You will need to use your lindberghschools email account to access the form.  Once you have accessed the form, create a copy of the form by clicking on "file" and then "make a copy" and save it on your google drive. 
    • All applications must be typed.  

    • You may only use the space provided and you may not change the size of the tables when entering information.  

    • When printed, your application may not exceed 10 pages.  Print your application single sided only.

    • No late applications will be accepted.

    • Incomplete applications will not be considered and failing to fill out the google form will make your application incomplete.

    3.  Obtain signatures on page 1 of the Candidate Selection Application (yours and your parent or guardian).
    4.  Teacher Recommendations
    Email 5 past or present teachers and ask them to fill out an online recommendation.  Include the instructions in an email requesting their recommendation.  Emails must be sent to teachers on or before Monday, February 4, 2019.
    Here is a template you can use to request a recommendation:
    Dear __________________,
    My name is ________________________ and I am in the class of 20___.  Please click on the link HERE to complete the NHS teacher recommendation.  These recommendations are an essential part of the NHS selection process and honest feedback is greatly appreciated. Please have it completed by Friday, February 15, 2019.  Thank you.
    It is your responsibility to follow up with your teachers to make sure the recommendations are complete.  You must have five teacher recommendations.  Once the recommendation is complete, send the teacher a thank you note for their time supporting your application to NHS.
    When will I hear if I have been accepted?
    Emails will be sent to everyone Friday, March 15, 2019.
