    Announcements for Today, November 15:

    *Good luck to Boys Swim as they compete at State today and tomorrow at St Peter’s Rec Plex!  And to Boys Soccer as they compete against Kirkwood in Quarterfinals at Vianney at 4:00 tomorrow!

    *Please help us spread the word! Sunday Night Lights hits the BIG TIME and will be featured tomorrow morning, Nov. 16 at 8:30 a.m. on FOX2 THE THREAD STL.

    *Join the NaNoWriMo movement to write your own novel this November! The library will host "write ins" each Friday in November during Power Lunch in the library. Bring your lunch and discuss your work with other writers or just take some time to write!

    *Is your dog totes adorbs?  Can your dog do incredible tricks?  Are they Instagram worthy? Then enter that puppy in the DECA Dog contest!  Applications are available in room 111.  Voting will occur next week during Powerlunch.  The dog that collections the most donations will be crowned DECA Dog for 2019-20.  All donations will be donated to a local animal rescue. Grab an entry form today!

    *Students wishing to Test-out of Personal Financial Management or who are taking an embedded course need to register for the Missouri State Personal Finance Test by today on Mrs. Girard's webpage. The state test will be held after school Dec 3 or Dec 5.  Students will choose only one date to sign-up for. Mrs. Girard's website provides more information and study resources.

    *The following college representatives will be visiting LHS during Power Lunch.  Today, Pittsburg State University.  Monday, November 18th, Monmouth College.  Monday, November 25th, The United States Naval Academy & an LHS alumni will be here to talk about the Army ROTC program.  Sign up through Naviance Student to attend.

    *Monday the Board and Card Game club will meet in room 309 during Power Lunch.  All are welcome!

    *Sophomores and Juniors:  If you are interested in the Early College Program please attend the Early College Informational Session. The session will be held in the auditorium during Power Lunch A on Tuesday, Nov. 19.

    *It's time for the LHS All School Read! This year we are reading Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson. This is a story about a lawyer who fights against racial and legal injustice. We will be holding the book discussion in January before we go see the movie. Check out your copy in the library today!

    * BRR! It's cold out there! Wondering what to do with old winter clothes? Bring gently used coats, jackets, hats, and gloves to Key Club's Winter Wear drive. Just drop off in the bin by the Guidance office by November 22. Thanks for donating!

    * Students!  Want to make some extra money for the holiday season?  We have lots of job opportunities posted on the job board outside of the counseling office.  Stop by and take a look!
