Lab Notebook Tips

  • In your notebook, you can record observations, research, draw and diagram pictures, and jot down any additional questions you might have for later.  You should put the tile of your experiment on the cover of your lab notebook.  You will need to date everything that you write, and describe what any pictures are showing.  You also should mark the main sections of your laboratory notebook so that the judges can easily find your hypothesis, background information, procedure, variables, etc.  Here is a good source to help further with doing a laboratory notebook: http://www.sciencebuddies.org/science-fair-projects/project_laboratory_notebook.shtml

Please do not write your name in your notebook.
