15 LHS Students Pursuing Prestigious IB Diploma in 2014-15
Fifteen Lindbergh High School seniors are pursuing the prestigious International Baccalaureate diploma in 2014-15, which they will receive upon graduation in May.
Students in the IB program must successfully complete six exams, a course in Theory of Knowledge, a 4,000-word extended essay, and a self-designed program of 150 creative, action and service hours.
LHS is currently one of the only schools in St. Louis to offer IB courses, along with more common AP options. Irv Mueller, district honors coordinator, says an IB diploma helps distinguish students in the college admissions process and prepares them for a successful college experience.
